Kia has unveiled the redesigned Sportage Hybrid, set to debut in Australia later this year. The model features a plug-in hybrid powertrain combining a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor. It offers a combined fuel efficiency of 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers.

The Sportage Hybrid is part of Kia’s strategy to expand its hybrid lineup in the Australian market. It includes advanced driver-assistance systems and a new interior design with premium materials. The vehicle is expected to compete with models like the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and the Honda CR-V Hybrid.

Kia has been increasing its focus on hybrid and electric vehicles in response to growing environmental concerns and government incentives. The Sportage Hybrid is the third hybrid model in Kia’s lineup following the Niro and the EV6. The company aims to sell 100,000 hybrid vehicles in Australia by 2025.
